MakeUGC review: pricing, credits and limits
MakeUGC (makeugc.ai) makes UGC-style video ads with AI actors instead of real creators. Here is what one video costs on each plan, who keeps the rights after you cancel, and the trial and refund rules, from MakeUGC's own pages.
Updated . Outside prices and features are read from each company's own pages on the dates shown with them.
MakeUGC renders UGC-style ads in the browser: pick an AI actor, write a script, and the actor says it, with your product in hand if you want. A talking-actor video costs 100 credits, so Starter ($59 a month, or $29 billed yearly) makes 5 a month at 480p or 720p. Read the licence before you rely on old ads: its fair use policy licenses output only while you pay.
- Starter
- $29–$59/mo
- Growth
- $39–$79/mo
- Pro
- $79–$149/mo
Lower figure billed yearly. From makeugc.ai's pricing page, API docs and policies, read on October 14, 2026. We didn't take the $1 trial.
What does one MakeUGC video cost?
| Plan | Videos a month | Per video, monthly | Per video, quarterly | Per video, yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 5 | $11.80 | $8.20 | $5.80 |
| Growth | 10 | $7.90 | $5.50 | $3.90 |
| Pro | 20 | $7.45 | $5.20 | $3.95 |
The 100-credit figure comes from MakeUGC's API docs MakeUGC docs; other generations (product shots, B-roll, longer or higher-resolution renders) are priced by model, duration and resolution, and credits don't roll over MakeUGC. A test of 3 scripts read by 3 actors is 9 videos, which is more than Starter's 5 and fits Growth's 10, at $4.33 a video billed yearly if that is all you make.
What do MakeUGC's plans include?
| Plan | Billed monthly (per month) | Billed yearly (per month) | What you get | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $59 | $29$348 a year | 500 credits a month (about 5 talking-actor videos), 300+ AI actors, 480p and 720p export, one generation at a time, no voice cloning, no seats | MakeUGC |
| Growth | $79 | $39$468 a year | 1,000 credits a month, 500+ AI actors, up to 4K, 1 custom avatar, voice cloning, batch mode, 3 seats, 200 promo credits | MakeUGC |
| Pro | $149 | $79$948 a year | 2,000–5,000 credits a month, 1,000+ AI actors, up to 4K, 3 custom avatars, unlimited parallel jobs, approval flows, priority rendering, 5 seats | MakeUGC |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom credits, dedicated capacity and strategist, volume API pricing, optional managed production | MakeUGC |
Every paid plan exports without a watermark, with commercial usage rights, and includes API and MCP access on the same credits. Starter runs one generation at a time and stops at 720p; the 4K, voice cloning and custom avatar lines start on Growth. The page contradicts itself on one point: Starter's plan card lists Batch Mode and the comparison table marks it not included MakeUGC.
Do you keep the rights to MakeUGC videos after you cancel?
MakeUGC's own documents don't give one answer. The fair use policy says output is licensed to users only while they hold an active paid subscription MakeUGC. The Terms assign you the copyright in your output and say ending the plan doesn't affect it, but the same Terms page renders the clause in more than one version, and one ties ownership to output made while your subscription is active MakeUGC terms. If you plan to keep running an ad after you stop paying, get the answer from MakeUGC in writing first.
On likeness, the custom avatar policy forbids cloning anyone without lawful authority or signed consent, and presenting AI avatars as real people MakeUGC.
What's the catch with the $1 trial?
The rules sit in a separate trial policy: one trial per person or business, and if MakeUGC decides a trial was abused (extra accounts, a shared card, a VPN) it can charge the plan's full monthly fee at once, with no refund. The policy states no trial length; that shows at checkout MakeUGC.
How do you cancel MakeUGC, and can you get a refund?
Web
- Open your account settings.
- Manage your subscription and cancel it.
Cancelling stops the next renewal; access runs to the end of the paid period. MakeUGC publishes no click-by-click help article.
MakeUGC: Pricing
The refund policy gives a full refund within 3 business days of a purchase or renewal if credits weren't substantially used, 50% if under half the credits were used, and nothing after 2 weeks or once half the credits are gone; a refund deletes the account and its videos. The Terms say payments are non-refundable except where the law requires. MakeUGC
When is filming it yourself the better choice?
When the ad needs a real customer or a creator's audience. An AI actor can't be presented as a customer, and it has no following to post to. For testing many scripts on a brand's own channels, MakeUGC is quicker than booking creators. The other big AI actor tool, which doesn't publish prices, is in the Arcads credits and licence; if you're the one on camera, the script template is the place to start, and the UGC creator guide covers getting paid for it. If the video needs no presenter at all, just a narrated script over stock footage, our Fliki credit breakdown works out what that costs.
What couldn't we see from outside?
The output. We didn't take the trial, so this page doesn't judge how natural the actors look, and the $1 trial's length is only shown at checkout. MakeUGC runs in the browser at app.makeugc.ai; its pages name no phone app.

FAQMakeUGC review: pricing, credits and limits FAQ
How much is MakeUGC?
Starter is $59 a month, Growth $79 and Pro $149, or $29, $39 and $79 a month billed yearly. Plans are sold in credits; a talking-actor video uses 100.
Is the MakeUGC $1 trial really $1?
It starts at $1, and the checkout shows how long it lasts. Its trial policy allows one trial per person or business, and if MakeUGC decides a trial was abused it can charge the full monthly fee at once with no refund.
Can I get a refund from MakeUGC?
Its refund policy gives a full refund within 3 business days if you haven't used most of your credits and 50% if you used under half; after 2 weeks, none. A refund deletes the account. Its Terms say payments are non-refundable except where the law requires.
Can I keep using MakeUGC videos after I cancel?
Its own documents disagree. The fair use policy licenses output only while you hold a paid subscription; the Terms assign you the copyright and say ending the plan doesn't affect it, though one version of that clause ties ownership to an active subscription. Ask MakeUGC in writing before relying on it.
Is there a MakeUGC app for iPhone?
MakeUGC runs in the browser at app.makeugc.ai, and its pages don't name a phone app.
