A free fake text maker for story videos
Write both sides of the chat, switch any message between Them and Me, and play it in the phone. Each bubble waits about half a second plus a beat for every few characters, so long messages stay up long enough to read; the last one holds for 2.5 s. Turn on typing dots and their messages show a 0.9 s "•••" first, the way the format usually does.
Text message story video: how it's made
| In the video | |
|---|---|
| Shape | 9:16, 1080 × 1920 |
| Start | First message after 0.6 s |
| Bubbles on screen | 5 at a time, then the next page |
| Their messages | Dark text on a light bubble, on the left |
| Your messages | White text on a dark bubble, on the right |
| Background | A soft color for the theme, or your own clip |
| Sound | None, until you add music or a voice |
In our editor every bubble is a normal text item: change the words, the timing or the look, put your own gameplay or B-roll clip behind it, then export. Add a voice with the TikTok voice generator and open with a line from the hook generator.

Fake text story maker FAQ
Is this fake text message generator free?
Yes. Writing the chat, playing it and downloading the PNG are free with no sign-up, and nothing is uploaded. Making the video opens our editor, where a free account exports with a small UGCLive mark.
How do I make a text story video for TikTok?
Write the chat here, press Make it a video and our editor opens it as a 9:16 video: each message pops in on its own timing over a background. Add your own clip behind it or music, then export and post.
Can I use real names or real conversations?
Keep it fiction. Don't impersonate real people or fake real conversations; that can mislead viewers, break platform rules and hurt the people named. Use made-up names and stories.
How long should a text story video be?
Most run 15 to 45 seconds: 6 to 15 short messages with a hook in the first one and a twist near the end. The timer under the phone shows how long yours plays.
Does it look like a real phone app?
It uses a generic messages look, gray bubbles for them and blue for you, in light or dark, with no app's logo or branding.
