Get paid for UGC questions

How do UGC creators get paid?

Usually a fee per video, plus a usage fee when the brand runs it as an ad or for longer than the base term. Marketplaces pay through the platform; direct deals are invoiced by the creator.

How much should I charge for one UGC video?

The rate calculator's typical figure for one edited beginner video for organic use is $175, in a range of $100 to $300. Paid ad usage, extra hooks and raw footage add to it.

When should I get paid?

Agree it in writing before you film. The contract template lets you pick payment on delivery, half up front and half on delivery, or all up front.

Do I need followers to get paid for UGC?

No. Brands pay UGC creators for the video, not for posting it. Your own following matters only when a brand wants you to post it or run ads from your account.

Is the contract template legal advice?

No. It's a starting template; have a lawyer where you live review it before either side signs.

How we made this page

The quotes come from our UGC rate calculator at its default rates (published rate guides, checked October 14, 2026), the contract sections from our contract template's default answers, and the portfolio picture from our portfolio template filled in for a made-up creator.
