TikTok caption generator
A TikTok caption generator for the text under your video: describe it and get five short captions with hashtags, a TikTok Shop call to action if you want one, and #ad when a brand paid or gifted it.
Example: TikTok Shop captions for a $20 blender
We ran the generator above once on October 14, 2026 with the input below and copied what came back without editing it. The notes under each result are ours.
- The video
- BlendGo portable blender, $20 on TikTok Shop. It charges with USB-C and one charge does about 15 blends. I make a banana and spinach smoothie at my desk at work. (BlendGo is a made-up product we use for tests.)
- Tone and call to action
- Honest review, "tap the orange cart"
- Paid or gifted
- Yes (adds #ad)
- #ad Who else is making smoothies at their desk? I finally found a blender that works for mine. Tap the orange cart to check it out. #desksmoothie #portableblender #worklunch #tiktokshop186 characters. The question opener invites comments, but "I finally found a blender that works" suggests a long search we never mentioned.
- #ad The BlendGo is $20 on TikTok Shop. I made a banana and spinach smoothie at work with it. Tap the orange cart. #blendgo #bananaspinach #officesnacks #tiktokshopfinds169 characters. Our pick. The product name, the price and TikTok Shop are all in the first sentence: the words a shopper would type into TikTok search.
- #ad It charges with USB-C, and one charge gets me about 15 blends. Here's me making a smoothie at my desk. Tap the orange cart. #usbcblender #smoothietok #deskfinds #portableblender182 characters. Second choice. Both product facts, word for word from what we typed.
- #ad Quick tip: a portable blender is handy for a midday smoothie when you're stuck at work. Mine is the BlendGo. Tap the orange cart. #worklunchhack #portableblender #healthysnack #tiktokshop192 characters. The first sentence could be about any blender, so it does little for search.
- #ad First time blending a banana and spinach smoothie at my desk, and it's honestly kind of fun. Tap the orange cart to see it. #firstimpressions #deskblender #spinachsmoothie #tiktokshopfinds193 characters. "First time" is the model's idea, and it clashes with our input, which says we use it at work. We'd cut it.
Generated by this tool on October 14, 2026 (Claude Haiku through fal.ai), unedited. A new run gives different results.
All five kept the call to action and put #ad first, and none invented a price or a result. Each ends with four hashtags; four of the five sets include #tiktokshop or #tiktokshopfinds, which say where the product is sold.
What does TikTok say about captions and search?
TikTok's Creator Academy article Getting discovered with Search (updated August 18, 2026, read October 14, 2026) tells creators to use “your video's description, voiceovers, captions, and on-screen text” to make it clear what the video is about. What that means for a caption:
- Name the product and what it's for in plain words (“portable blender for smoothies at work”), the way a viewer would type it.
- Keep the hashtags short. The same article lists “using a long list of hashtags will help your video rank higher in Search” as a myth.
- Don't stuff in words the video isn't about. TikTok warns that unrelated text added this way “can get your video flagged for spam”.
How long can a TikTok caption be?
TikTok's help pages don't give the in-app limit. Its developer documentation for posting through the API caps the caption at 2,200 UTF-16 characters (Content Posting API, updated August 24, 2026). We haven't measured how much of a caption the feed shows before “more”, so we won't quote a number. The generator asks for TikTok caption sentences under 150 characters, with the hashtags on a line after them (the example above came to 169 to 193 characters in all), and the product named in the first sentence, which matters whatever the cutoff is.
How do you mark a sponsored TikTok?
With TikTok's content disclosure setting. Its help page Promoting a brand, product, or service (read October 14, 2026) says you must turn it on when a post promotes a brand, product or service:
- On the post screen, tap Content disclosure and ads (if you're not part of TikTok One, tap More options first), then turn on Disclose commercial content.
- Posting for another business labels the video Paid partnership; promoting your own business labels it Promotional content.
- The label can't be changed after the video is published, and TikTok says the setting doesn't affect how the post is distributed in feeds.
The label isn't all the FTC asks for in the US. Its guide Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers (read October 14, 2026) says the disclosure should be in the video itself, so say it or show it on screen as well as ticking #ad here.

How to use TikTok caption generator
- 1
Say what happens in the video
Give the facts you want in the caption: the product's name, the price, where it's sold, and what you do with it on camera. The generator uses only what you type.
- 2
Pick a tone and call to action
For TikTok Shop videos, "tap the orange cart" or "it's in my showcase" tells the viewer where to buy.
- 3
Mark it if a brand paid or gifted it
Tick the box to put #ad first, then turn on TikTok's content disclosure setting when you post.
FAQTikTok caption generator FAQ
What makes a good TikTok caption?
One or two short sentences with the words someone would search for, such as the product and the problem it solves, then a few hashtags that say who it's for, and #ad first if it's sponsored.
Should I put keywords in my TikTok caption?
Yes. TikTok's Creator Academy (updated August 18, 2026) tells creators to use the video's description, voiceovers, captions and on-screen text to make clear what it's about, so it connects with people searching.
Do I need #ad on TikTok?
TikTok's help center says you must turn on the content disclosure setting when a post promotes a brand, product or service (read October 14, 2026). The FTC's guide for influencers says to put the disclosure in the video itself too.
Is it free?
Yes, with no sign-up. Each visitor gets 20 free generations a day, shared across the site's AI tools.
What happens to what I type?
It goes through our server and fal.ai (its OpenRouter router) to Anthropic's Claude Haiku, which writes the captions. UGCLive doesn't store it, and fal's and Anthropic's own terms apply to it. Don't type anything you wouldn't post.
