Short answer
To be a TikTok affiliate in the Philippines you need 600 followers and to be 18 or older, then you apply in Creator Centre under TikTok Shop for Creator and verify a government ID.
With 200 to 599 followers you can still join through TikTok's Creator Adjustment Program, capped at 7 shoppable videos and 4 shoppable LIVEs a week; below 200 you can only share affiliate links. Commission is the seller's rate on the price minus tax, paid after the order settles, and withdrawn to GCash or a bank.
What does a TikTok affiliate do in the Philippines?
A TikTok affiliate earns a commission on products from TikTok Shop sellers that they tag in videos and LIVEs. You don't hold stock, ship or handle returns; the seller pays your commission out of each order that isn't refunded.
- Pick a productFrom the affiliate marketplace, at the rate the seller sets.
- Tag itIn a shoppable video or a LIVE, or share its affiliate link.
- Get the commissionOnce the buyer's order is delivered and settles.
The Philippine rules differ from the US ones most guides quote: a lower follower bar, a capped tier from 200 followers, peso payouts to GCash and a tax form you may be asked for at withdrawal. For the US and UK side by side, see how the TikTok affiliate program works.

A link-share account is upgraded on its own once it meets the follower count and the general rules. And once you're an affiliate creator, dropping back under 600 doesn't send you back to link-share only, by TikTok's application page.
How do you apply, step by step?
- 1. Open TikTok Shop for CreatorIn Creator Centre, or from your profile under Creator tools, then tap Apply. If Apply isn't there, you don't meet the follower, age or account rule yet.
- 2. Verify your IDTap Verify when prompted, pick one of the accepted IDs and scan it as the app guides you.
- 3. Add your addressAs it appears on your ID, then finish registration.
- 4. Submit tax informationYour name and TIN as on your BIR Certificate of Registration (Form 2303), in Creator Centre under Settings, then Verification Center. TikTok's tax page calls it optional but says you may be asked for it when you withdraw.
- 5. Add a withdrawal methodUnder Commission, then Withdraw. The beneficiary name has to be identical to your TikTok Shop account name.
- 6. Add products and postAdd products to your showcase, then tag them in a video or pin them in a LIVE.
Once you're approved, the videos are the work. Our TikTok Shop video maker turns one product link into a batch of finished videos, each in a different format with its own hook.
The hook writer suggests opening lines from your brief, each tagged with its angle, and puts the one you tap on the video as on-screen text.
Write three opening lines for the same product video and export each version to see which one sells.

TikTok PH's commission formula
Commission rate × (customer payment − tax amount). Seller discounts come off before it, and shipping and TikTok's own platform discounts aren't part of it. In TikTok's example a ₱1,780 payment with ₱80 of tax at 10% pays ₱170.00.
Commission at 10% on three example prices
| ₱199 lip tint | ₱17.77 |
|---|---|
| ₱599 skincare set | ₱53.48 |
| ₱1,499 wireless earbuds | ₱133.84 |
UGCLive's commission calculator (affiliate mode), October 16, 2026: price less 12% VAT, 10% rate (TikTok PH's example rate), no seller discount. Prices are our examples.
If the seller isn't charging VAT, there's no tax to take out and the same three sales pay ₱19.90, ₱59.90, ₱149.90. The rate itself is whatever the seller sets in its affiliate plan; TikTok PH's pages give no typical range. Try your own product in the commission calculator: enter the price without tax.

TikTok's two creator pages disagree on timing: the January 2026 rules page says the 3rd or 15th day after delivery, and the September 2026 page lists 7, 3 and 15 calendar days by seller type. Either way you can't speed it up yourself. If your payout seems late, our post on how long TikTok commission takes to withdraw covers where the money sits at each stage.
Do TikTok affiliates in the Philippines need to register with the BIR?
What TikTok Shop PH's own pages say about tax
- Check: TikTok lists your full name, TIN and BIR Certificate of Registration (Form 2303) as tax information, marked optional, and says you may be asked for them when you try to withdraw.
- Partly: Applying in Creator Centre lists completing tax information submission among the creator requirements.
- Partly: The 1% withholding on half of gross remittances is a rule for e-marketplace sellers. We found no TikTok PH page saying tax is withheld from creator commission.
- No: A message asking you to pay a "tax" or a release fee before a payout isn't TikTok: commission withdrawals happen inside the app.
TikTok Shop PH: Tax information submission for creators (dated 10/30/2025), How to become a TikTok Shop creator (07/13/2026), Withholding tax for e-marketplace sellers (07/03/2026).
Whether your commission makes you a registered taxpayer is the BIR's question, not TikTok's; ask the BIR or an accountant. If you'd rather sell your own products, the documents and fees are in selling on TikTok Shop Philippines, and how to spot TikTok Shop scams covers fake affiliate offers.
What didn't we check?
- The app itselfThe steps follow TikTok's written instructions; we didn't apply from a Philippine account.
- Withdrawal feesTikTok's withdraw rules show its fee table as an image, which didn't load as text.
- Typical ratesCommission rates in the affiliate marketplace need a login, so the 10% here is TikTok's own example.
- Which payout timing appliesTikTok's creator pages give different day counts; your Creator Centre shows the one for each order.
