Where are the bio and link fields in TikTok?

Both are under Edit profile. These steps and rules are from TikTok's own help pages, read October 14, 2026; we didn't check them on a phone. The bio steps TikTok gives are for tiktok.com in a browser; in the app, Edit profile is on your profile too.

Under 1,000 followers on a personal account, there's no link field, so the bio has to carry the contact. That's why most of the UGC creator examples above end with an email: a brand can reach you from it at any follower count. What should a TikTok bio say?

What you post and who it's for, in words a new viewer understands in a second, plus one thing to do next: follow for a series, email for collabs, or shop a link.

How long can a TikTok bio be?

80 characters: TikTok's help center says bios "cannot exceed 80 characters" (read October 14, 2026). We count each Unicode code point as one, so an emoji like ⬇️ counts as 2. We haven't checked how TikTok's own counter treats every emoji, so leave a few characters spare.

How do I add a link to my TikTok bio?

TikTok's help center says you can add a website link with at least 1,000 followers or a Verified Business Account (read October 14, 2026). Then go to Profile, tap Edit profile, and tap Add next to Links. Until then, put a collab email in the bio.

Should a UGC creator say UGC in the bio?
