What can you do in InShot for free, and what does Pro add?

  • InShot is free to download, and the free version shows ads (the App Store lists Advertising; Google Play says Contains ads).

    App Store
  • The Swedish App Store description says InShot Pro gives all features and paid materials (stickers, filter packs) and that the watermark and ads are removed automatically.

    App Store (SE)
  • Remove ads is a separate one-time purchase ($3.99 in the US). InShot's pages don't say it also removes the watermark.

    App Store
  • The yearly plan is marked Free Trial in the App Store; the length isn't stated.

    App Store
  • AI Cut removes silence, filler words and breaths, and Auto Captions adds subtitles by speech-to-text. The listing doesn't say which AI tools are Pro only.

    App Store
  • Exports go up to 4K at 60 fps.

    App Store
  • InShot is sold by Shantanu Pte. Ltd. on iPhone, iPad and Apple-silicon Macs, and on Android.

    App Store

InShot's own Swedish listing contradicts itself: it opens with “No Watermark!” and later says Pro removes the watermark App Store (SE). What InShot's pages don't say: exactly where the watermark sits, whether watching an ad removes it from one export, and which AI tools need Pro. Until we export a clip ourselves, treat the watermark as likely on free exports and look at the corner of your first one.

How much is InShot Pro in each country?

App Store prices are set per country in local currency with tax included. These are InShot's in-app purchases in seven storefronts, read on the same day.

The yearly plan costs about four months of the monthly one in the US, UK, Brazil and Mexico, and a little over three in Spain, Indonesia and the Philippines, so yearly is the cheaper way to pay if you keep Pro longer than that.

Which InShot Pro plan is cheapest?

In the US, twelve months of monthly billing is $59.88, about three times the $19.99 yearly price. Lifetime costs as much as 2.5 years of the yearly plan, so it only pays off if you use InShot for longer than that.

Paying monthly for 12 months

Paying yearly (1 year)

Yearly works out to
$1.67/mo

Yearly is $39.89 cheaper over 12 months. A year up front costs the same as about 4 months of monthly billing, so yearly only pays off if you keep it at least that long.

How do you cancel InShot Pro?

InShot Pro is sold through the App Store and Google Play, so you cancel it there. The yearly plan comes with a free trial of unstated length; cancel before it ends if you don't want the year. Lifetime and Remove ads are one-time purchases with nothing to cancel.

Is InShot enough for UGC ads?

For trimming, resizing and quick captions, yes, and it is cheap. Its AI Cut removes silence and filler words. It has fewer templates and effects than CapCut; the CapCut vs InShot compared page puts the two side by side. If you want an editor that never watermarks a free export, our VN review covers the usual pick, and the wider list of phone editors compares five more. Before posting, check that captions sit clear of TikTok's buttons with the safe zone checker.
