How much video can each Opus Clip plan clip a month?
Credits are minutes of the long video you upload, not clips you get back Opus help. Here is what that means for a weekly podcast or a stream:
| Plan | Credits (minutes) a month | 1-hour episodes | 30-minute videos | Cost per source minute |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 60 | 1 | 2 | $0 (watermarked) |
| Starter | 150 | 2.5 | 5 | $0.100 |
| Pro | 300 | 5 | 10 | $0.097 monthly, $0.048 yearly |
A short take costs very little in credits: a video under a minute costs 1 credit Opus help, so Starter's 150 credits would cover 150 short takes a month.
Is Opus Clip Pro cheaper monthly or yearly?
- Paying monthly for 12 months
- $348.00
- Paying yearly (1 year)
- $174.00
- Yearly works out to
- $14.50/mo
Yearly is $174.00 cheaper over 12 months. A year up front costs the same as about 6 months of monthly billing, so yearly only pays off if you keep it at least that long.

Is Opus Clip worth it for UGC creators?
If your content starts as long recordings (podcasts, lives, webinars), yes: that is what its credits are priced for. If you film 30-second ads to a script, Starter's $15 buys 150 credits you won't use up and features (virality scores, reframing, clip finding) that a 30-second take doesn't need. The Opus Clip alternatives compared page splits the alternatives into clipping tools and short-video editors. Clips cut from a 16:9 recording are reframed to 9:16; the aspect ratio tool shows what a crop keeps.
