Short answer
Insense is a marketplace where brands post UGC, posting, seeding and Spark Ads campaigns and creators apply with their own price. You need a small audience (its help center says 1,000 followers and 1,000 views) and a portfolio of at least 4 videos that passes moderation. You keep ownership of what you make but grant Insense and the brand a perpetual license; paid-ad codes are time-limited per brief. Insense pays out to PayPal or a bank and publishes one typical rate: $80 to $150 for a modular UGC video.
What does Insense ask of creators, and offer them?
| Insense | |
|---|---|
| How work is offered | Brands post campaigns or invite you; you apply with your own price and negotiate |
| Pay, as the platform states it | You set it; "typical" $80 to $150 per modular UGC video (help center) |
| How you're paid | Wallet after brand approval, then PayPal (up to 5 business days) or bank (up to 7) |
| Cost to creators | No fee on earnings (help center); $3 on withdrawals under $50 |
| Who can join | 22 listed countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, much of Europe, NZ, Singapore) |
| Follower minimum | 1,000 followers and 1,000 views per platform (help center) |
| Where you use it | iPhone and Android apps |
Will your profile pass Insense moderation?
Only if you already have a little of everything. Insense (Insense Ads, Inc.) checks the account you connect and the videos you upload before you can apply to anything, and its two pages set slightly different bars.
| Rule | Help center | Creator page |
|---|---|---|
| Audience | At least 1,000 followers and 1,000 views on Instagram and TikTok | 1,000+ Instagram followers, 500+ median TikTok views, 1% engagement |
| Portfolio | At least 4 videos, of 2 types and 2 product categories, 1 with you speaking | Not stated |
| Review time | Up to 72 hours | 3 business days (app listings) |
| If rejected | Ask for re-moderation after 2 weeks | Not stated |
| Countries | Not stated | 22: the US, UK, Canada, Australia, 16 European countries, New Zealand and Singapore |
Insense also detects bought followers (moderation article). The creator terms require you to be over the age of majority. A one-page UGC portfolio helps you choose 4 videos that cover two styles and two categories.
How do you price yourself on Insense?
You quote a price when you apply and negotiate it in chat within the brand's budget, so there's no rate card. The one range Insense calls typical is for modular UGC: $80 to $150 for one roughly 60-second video, plus $40 to $60 per extra concept and $20 to $30 for raw footage (modular UGC pricing). Some campaigns pay in product only and must say so in the brief.
Brands usually choose within 5 to 10 business days, and Insense says most creators are picked after about 20 to 30 applications. Paid-ad add-ons are priced separately: a TikTok Spark code runs for the period in the brief (7, 30 or 60 days, up to 365), and Meta partnership ads default to 30 days if the brief doesn't say.
What happens between being hired and getting paid?
- Escrow: your fee is held from the brand's balance when you're hired.
- Product: shipped once the deal reaches content creation. If it's late, ask for an extension in chat. If you can't make the content, send it back or the brand can invoice you.
- Deadlines: set by the brand. Missing one without telling the brand lets it cancel, and repeated delays can get your profile removed.
- Revisions: up to 3 rounds that match the brief. Requests beyond it you can accept, reprice or decline.
- Payout: released to your Insense wallet when the brand approves, then withdrawn to PayPal (up to 5 business days) or a bank (up to 7), per the payout article. The terms promise 3 and 5 working days from your request, subject to the brand paying.
- Fees: "Insense doesn't charge any fees on your earnings", except $3 on withdrawals under $50 (fees). Taxes are yours; free products count as income.
What license does Insense take, and what's time-limited?
The creator terms (last modified May 29, 2026) say campaign content is owned by you. You grant Insense a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable license it can pass to the brand, for organic and paid use on digital channels and connected TV; broadcast and offline use are bought separately in the brief. During the campaign, the grant to Insense is exclusive. Only the paid-ad permissions are time-limited: Spark codes and partnership ads run for the period in the brief, 30 days by default.
Brands may also make AI content from your videos. It counts as approved unless you object in chat within 14 days, and approved AI content is final. Using your likeness or voice for AI outside Insense needs a separate agreement.
Two more clauses: for 12 months from the day you accept the terms, Insense must be your only way to deal with brands you met there, and disputes go to binding arbitration under New York law, with a class-action waiver.
What do Insense creators complain about?
Mostly about going unanswered; payment complaints are rare. Insense's Trustpilot page scores 3.6 from 190 reviews (55% five stars, 25% one star), and Insense replies to 2% of negative ones. The creator app is rated 4.7 from about 3,100 ratings on the App Store.
We read the 20 newest Trustpilot reviews on October 14, 2026. About 9 read as creators, 1 as a brand, and about 10 don't say (many of those are about subscription charges, which suggests brands). None of the creator reviews mentions a late payout, and one (May 2026, 5 stars) calls the payments immediate. Three describe going unanswered: an offer accepted and then no word back (September 2026), support that never replied (March 2026), and brands that don't follow through on collaborations (January 2026, 4 stars). None of the 20 had a reply from Insense.
Who is Insense a good fit for?
Creators with a small real audience and four or more finished videos who want to set their own price, especially outside the US. Complete beginners won't pass moderation yet.

No audience yet? Start here instead
- Billo review: no following needed, fixed pay per video and the product shipped to you.

- Backstage UGC review: brands get 6 months of paid ads and 12 months of organic use, not a perpetual license.
- Aspire review: seeding and paid posting campaigns with no creator fees, if your audience is mostly in the US.
Open questions
- Whether moderation follows the help center's bar or the creator page's.
- How often, if ever, creators are charged the commission the terms allow.
- Whether you keep the product after a paid campaign: the help center doesn't say.
- Insense's Google Play rating: the listing didn't load on October 14.
