VEED alternatives

VEED alternatives for creators who would rather edit on their phone than in a browser. UGCLive has no web editor, so if you need one, VEED's own rivals are listed too.

Updated . Outside prices and features are read from each company's own pages on the dates shown with them.

Short answer

Our pick for a free VEED alternative is Microsoft Clipchamp, because it runs in the browser like VEED and its pricing page lists watermark-free exports up to 1080p and silence removal on the free plan, where VEED's free exports are 720p and watermarked. For silence cutting in a browser, Kapwing and Submagic are the closest paid matches. If you would rather edit on your phone, VN and Edits by Instagram export free with no watermark.

From each app's own pricing page, help center or App Store listing, read on October 14, 2026. We didn't edit a test video in any of them.

Submagic is the nearest match for short captioned clips, but its Starter caps each video at 2 minutes and leaves the cutting to Pro; see the Submagic review. Descript is the pick if you edit long recordings by transcript; our Descript comparison covers what it can't do on a phone. The rest of the editors, on one set of columns, are in the hub's comparison table.

Which alternatives work on a phone?

VEED has its own Android and iPhone apps, and the iPhone app comes with its paid plans; VEED Lite is a separate iPhone app with its own subscription VEED help. Phone-first editors don't need a browser at any step: VN and Edits export free with no watermark, and InShot's AI Cut removes silences inside the app; all three are weighed against CapCut on our CapCut comparison. Our own iPhone editor, UGCLive, is built for this case but isn't released yet, with Pro planned at $19 a month.

When should you stay on VEED?

Stay if your team edits together in a browser, you rely on brand kits, AI dubbing or text to speech, or your videos run longer than a few minutes. VEED's paid plans have no export length limit, and its subtitles are unlimited up to a 50-hour fair-use limit VEED. Its full plan list is on the VEED plans and limits page.

What did this page not test?

We didn't edit the same clip in every app, so nothing here compares caption accuracy or cut quality. Which plan includes each tool comes from the apps' pricing pages; for Clipchamp, from the FAQ on its pricing page.
