Short answer
JoinBrands is a marketplace for UGC, social, TikTok Shop and local jobs, open to adults in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Germany with no follower minimum. It publishes a rate table: a UGC video defaults to $60 and a social video to $100, before a 20% fee (15% on Creator Pro at $49.95 a month). You pass a free certification video for each content type, get paid to PayPal, and the brand gets all rights once it pays.
What are JoinBrands' rules for creators?

What do JoinBrands jobs pay, before and after the fee?
| Job | Default | Floor | You keep at 20% |
|---|---|---|---|
| UGC video | $60 | $50 | $48 |
| TikTok, Reels, Shorts or Amazon video | $100 | $50 | $80 |
| TikTok Shop video (US) | $100 | $50 | $80 |
| TikTok Shop LIVE (US) | $50 | $50 | $40 |
| YouTube full-length | $150 | $50 | $120 |
| Lifestyle image | $25 | $25 | $20 |
| Product demo image | $20 | $20 | $16 |
| Selfie with product | $15 | $15 | $12 |
The fee is taken before money reaches your wallet, on job earnings and bonuses; tips, express jobs and product reimbursements carry none (creator fees). Levels add to the base when a brand runs a campaign for them: Level 2 (5 jobs, a 4.0 average) pays 50% more on UGC video, Level 3 (30 jobs, a 4.3 average) 100% to 150% more (levels).
When does Creator Pro pay for itself?
Creator Pro costs $49.95 a month, or $494.99 a year ($41.25 a month), and cuts the fee from 20% to 15%. It also shows you campaigns an hour early, opens Pro-only campaigns and lifts the one-payout-a-week limit (premium plans); JoinBrands says it doesn't guarantee approval.
On the fee alone, the 5-point cut covers the monthly plan once your jobs earn $999 a month before fees, about 17 UGC videos at the $60 default. The yearly plan breaks even at $825 a month, about 14 videos. Below that, Pro is only worth it if the early and Pro-only campaigns win you jobs you wouldn't get otherwise, which JoinBrands doesn't measure for you.
How do you get certified, and what kinds of job are there?
JoinBrands has five kinds of job: UGC (content only), Affiliate (posted to TikTok for a fee and a possible bonus), Influencer (posted on your accounts), Local (visit a venue or buy in a store) and Commission Only on TikTok Shop, US only (job marketplace). Each country has its own marketplace.
- Register
Name, date of birth, country, mailing address, phone, a photo and an About me; up to 3 categories. You must be 18 (creator page) or of legal age in your country (registration guide), in the US, UK, Canada, Australia or Germany. Linking socials is optional.
- Get verified
An AI check runs first, with a manual review if it can't approve you. No time is given.
- Record a certification video
For video jobs: a new 45 to 60-second demo of a product you own, with you on camera and no AI-generated content. It's free, and you can resubmit after feedback. A teleprompter helps.
- Apply
Applications are unlimited, but you can hold at most 10 approved jobs you haven't started. Brands usually pick within 1 to 2 business days, and an approved job you don't start expires after 7 days.
- Get the product
Buy it and enter the order number within 48 hours on reimbursement jobs, or the brand ships it. You keep products sent for a job. TikTok Shop jobs also need TikTok's own affiliate approval.
What happens if a brand cancels or wants changes?
- Review: JoinBrands' team checks your content first; the brand then has 10 days to approve or reject before it's approved automatically (help center, read October 13, 2026).
- Revisions: only within the original brief. How many a brand may ask for depends on its plan: 1 on pay-as-you-go, up to 10 on its top plan.
- Cancellations: if a brand cancels after you bought the product, the reimbursement goes on hold for mediation; if you cancel after receiving it, you aren't reimbursed (brand cancels).
- Payouts: escrow, then your wallet when the brand approves; PayPal only, up to 7 business days, and the PayPal location must match your profile.
What rights pass to the brand, and does that include AI?
Yes. You keep all rights until you're fully paid. Then "all rights to such Creator's Content shall be transferred by you to the Brand", which also gets an irrevocable license for any purpose (terms). The terms let brands and JoinBrands use what you sell in AI tools, including training models, at no extra pay, and give JoinBrands a perpetual license to content brands don't buy, for its marketing. You may show paid work in your portfolio only with the brand's written consent.
Don't take work with a brand you met there off the platform. Disputes go to JoinBrands, which says it isn't liable if a brand doesn't pay; Wyoming law applies, and the terms carry no last-updated date.
What do JoinBrands creators say?
The app is rated 4.6 from 883 ratings on the App Store and 4.2 from about 200 reviews on Google Play (50,000+ downloads). The Trustpilot page scores 4.4 from 289 reviews, 82% five stars and 7% one star.
On October 14, 2026 we read the 24 reviews on its first Trustpilot page: 6 from creators, 6 from brands and 12 that don't say. The creators split. A September 2026 review from a newer creator says they landed over 30 jobs in a short time, and a December 2025 one calls the payout process easy; an October 2026 one-star review says the experience was frustrating enough not to recommend it. The three Google Play reviews on show are all one star from creators, one (September 2026) saying the app couldn't find their TikTok affiliate account.
Is JoinBrands a good first platform?
For a new creator who wants to know the price before applying, yes: the rates are printed and the certification is free. Budget for the fee, and skip Creator Pro until your jobs pass the break-even above.
In its favour
- Published rates per job type, with floors, before you apply.
- No followers needed, products kept, and five countries.
- Escrow, then auto-approval 10 days after review.
- Levels raise pay on campaigns built for them.
- Apps on iPhone and Android.
Against it
- A 20% fee on every job, or 15% plus a monthly plan.
- PayPal only, and one payout a week on the free plan.
- All rights pass to the brand on payment, AI use included, and no portfolio use without consent.
- You may lose the product cost if a job is cancelled after you buy it.
- Its pages disagree on brand minimums and age wording.
Platforms that don't take a cut of each job
- Billo review: no fee on your pay, weekly Stripe payouts, but a pitch video to get in.
- Insense review: you set your own price, with no fee on earnings in its help center.
- Clip review: free, products kept, but only about 7% of applicants approved.
- Kora review: a free job board (3 applies a day) with invoices and deal tracking, but protection only on Kora-paid deals.
What we didn't confirm
- A creator delivery deadline or lateness penalty: we couldn't find one in the help center.
- The 10-day auto-approval rule, which we read on October 13 but didn't find again on October 14.
- The Creator Academy's price.
- How often Pro-only and early campaigns turn into jobs.
